ARTIST

ALEXANDER RYAN BRITS
Alex is an aspiring and talented professional artist, with a great passion for tattooing. While being a holder of a Bachelor degree in fine Arts and graphic design, and always interested in art, he started to pursue a career in tattooing in 2015.
Alex strives to create and tattoo custom pieces, which encourages a very positive experience for the clients. This allows Alex to exercise creativity and grow a vast repertoire of original art work. He enjoys working with many mediums aside from tattooing, including acrylics, water colors, oil paints, charcoal, color pencils, and graphite. The variety of mediums practiced, enables him to develop as a well-rounded artist.
Alex has experience with many tattoo styles, such as traditional Tribal, Arabic Calligraphy and Geometrical art. Though, he makes a constant effort to specialize in all tattoo styles. “I believe you can never stop growing and increasing your skills as an artist. Inactivity leads to laziness in ones art. Therefore, I strive to actively seek out any and all opportunities to better myself and my skills as a tattoo artist.”

By booking your tattoo appointment you are agreeing to show up on time on the allocated day for the full design service that was established at the time of you making the booking.
Minimum 72 hours notice needs to be given if you need to change an appointment time, or date, or any design details that could alter the allocated time reserved for your session.

No shows will also forfeit their deposit. It’s a tough one but at the end of the day we are a business with business expenses. We are self-employed, based on our bookings allocations. Our charged time is the only income for our business. If you do not turn up we cannot get back the people that we turned away for your time slot and our overall income based on that time held. While this sounds unsympathetic to some, it sounds perfectly professional and acceptable to others. At the end of the day it is your choice to reserve a time or you can try as availability on the day.
This includes reasons such as, but is not limited to, being called into work, road works, forgetting/losing your appointment slip, reading the time or date incorrectly, spending your money on other relevant things leaving you with not enough for your session, canceling without 72 hours notice, illness of yours or others, accidents, and deaths. If it happens, it happens. It happens to both of us financially, and we wear the loss and cost equally. I personally I don’t know anyone that can afford to lose their wages, us included.
The deposit needs to be paid in CASH as client books their first tattoo session with us.
***WE DO NOT DEAL WITH CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS, ***WE ONLY ACCEPT CASH***
*Terms Rates and how we give our estimates:
*The tattoo artist is not a photocopy machine, he is a human, and he does his best, you must work together during your session to ensure your tattoo is as you want it to be.
*Terms of accepting the Risk such as but not limited to the following:
There are so many factors when dealing with skin, and people, and environment that can affect the end result.
*The skin is the biggest organ in the body, it is living, and breathing, and pigment can be altered or rejected because of this.
*Tattoo pigment is a foreign material and does not belong in the body it is your immune systems job to remove it.
*If you have any medical concerns or issues then please seek advice of a qualified medical professional prior to being tattooed.
* Fine detailed work, such as but not limited to small lettering, is not the ideal for longevity in a tattoo. Small lettering is a higher risk tattoo and the smaller you go the more likely the ink will spread out under the skin as it ages, making the sharpness and detail thicken. This can happen on some people sooner than others. And on some this does not happen at all it just depends on your skin.
* Medication can affect the healing of your tattoo, such as but not limited to; Antibiotics taken with in weeks on either side of getting your tattoo can attack this pigment and help the body to rid of it. This is not a result of bad workman ship or cheap materials (as we have neither of these in our studio).
* Your body could reject the ink or have difficulty accepting the ink.
This can happen on some people if they are sensitive to a particular color. This sensitivity will cause excessive itching, excessive scabbing, and the body will reject the ink by trying to bleed it out, or weep it out.
*If your tattoo is doing this after 3 days of the application please contact us or go see a medical professional.
If you are told by a medical professional to apply an antibiotic cream to the tattoo it is likely to affect the color, and the final quality of the healed tattoo, and this is NOT a result of poor workman ship.
It is also possible that you got it dirty or contaminated in this early healing stage, or that it was not properly cleaned within the 24 hour initial period, and could be causing this reaction. Illness, and physical labor can also cause this reaction, and it is possible that you are having sensitivity to the ink color. Environment, smokers, pet hair and touching with dirty hands by children, for example, can be enough to cause this sort of initial response by the body. Please refer to our after care sheet provided for more detail
*The area that has been tattooed can be bruised, swollen or welted, red, stingy or sore as part of normal reactions and this generally ceases with in hours or days. If you are concerned please contact us to discuss what is happening. Some areas will do this for much longer, such as high movement areas (joints) arms, or legs if you work on your feet or have been very active during your healing time.
*Your health can affect the healing of your tattoo. If you are sick there is a higher risk of ink rejection and the tattoo taking much longer to heal. This will also likely be indicated by difficulty with the initial scabbing.
*Treatments such as but not limited to, Chemotherapy can fade tattoos and cause them to look 10 years older than they are. Weight loss and weight gain during this time can also cause premature aging of the skin and tattoo.
*The age and quality of your skin can greatly affect the final tattoo. Spreading of the ink under the skin can occur on older skin. This can also happen on very thin skin found often on the elderly or under weight people. However ink spreading is not limited to these people and can happen on anyone and there is absolutely no way to know if it will or not.
* Excessive weight gain or weight loss either prior to or after the tattoo can affect the longevity due to deteriorated elasticity, excess water retention in the body which can wash the ink out, or stretch and contract the tattoo causing wear and tear.
* Stretch marks later in life in the area of the tattoo can blow out the lines of a tattoo. Tattooing over stretch marks usually cause big puffy welts during the tattoo process, which can make it very difficult to tattoo.
*Skin pigmentation and scaring can affect brightness of colors, and toughness of skin.
* UV light exposure will break down the pigmentation resulting in fading.
*Skin conditions such as but not limited to, eczema, acne dermatitis, etc. can have eruptions, or cracking, under the tattoo during healing causing ink to be wiped out, ejected, or split with welting or excessive bleeding during the tattoo.
* We will not tattoo over acne, skin eruptions, moles, eczema or other irritated skin areas if visible at the time.
* Small lettering and details. May or may not hold for years and years. Ink can spread or move under the line work causing a blurring, smudgy look. This can happen with in a short period of time or with in a few years the smaller the detail the sooner the change in the skin on some people.
* Sides of the feet, back of the ears, some parts of the ankle, fingers, palms or sides of the hands all have the highest risk of ink rejection and are often high maintenance tattoos. Meaning they constantly need to be re tattooed and have a very high likelihood of the ink spreading, thickening, an/or falling out.
* Hand tattoos will have a short life span due to the amount of hand washing and activity that the hands are used for, and the regeneration of new skin.
*Your job can affect the healing of a tattoo. Environments with heavy metals or chemicals in the atmosphere can aggravate a healing tattoo causing it to weep, and take much longer to heal. People such as but not limited to, welders, painters, and mechanics are in such environments. Dust from plaster, flour, wood mills, fertilizers, etc. are some examples of aggravating environments.
If you have a job like this, be prepared to have ink fall out and have to be reworked due to excessive scabbing etc.
It is best to get tattooed before annual leave for your best healing results.
*Sports and Training. Sweat, dirt, water, stretching etc. can also affect the healing time and end result.
This includes but is not limited to, diving, rafting, swimming, surfing, yoga, running, gym training, rugby and all contact sports, etc.
* Sun beds, spray tans, waxing, shaving, picking, scratching, creams, lotions, perfumes, all need to be avoided during the healing of your tattoo as they can cause irritation or infection and ink loss.
We have even had someone blow-dry the tattoo. Don’t do that either :-)
*We do not know what you do to your tattoo when you leave our studio.
*We do not wear the cost of any touch ups. As you can see from the above there are many reasons and factors, which can affect the finished tattoo.
WE ARE professionally trained, highly experienced with an exceptional skill and knowledge level.
We use professional grade equipment, professional grade pigments and absolute care.
tattooing you at your request and you accept all responsibility of any complications that could arise as a result of getting tattooed.
We do not know how the ink will react in any ones skin, we have a very good idea as we have been doing it for 6 years, however, it can be unpredictable outcome.
History of Complications:
Based on our customer feedback since 2012:
We have had minimal customers that have had issues with ink spreading immediately or within a few months, it has been in older skin and obese people, and also people with health issues, and areas around the joints. Small lettering and finely detailed imagery that is close together with only skin separating the design (and no color pigment holding the spaces where they are) will spread out eventually and possibly join up.
You get tattooed at your own risk.
We have had approximately 4 people in all of that time with allergic reactions to the pigmentation colors, purple, and red. All our pigments are purchased by long time reputable tattoo suppliers and pigment manufacturers that are constantly testing and evaluating their products. They are also constantly changing their formula’s to try to get better vibrancy etc.
You get tattooed at your own risk.
I would say approximately 5% have sensitive reactions, and this could be due to their sensitivity; to the procedure, to the ink, or perhaps the tattoo was not cleaned properly according to our aftercare, or they are unwell at the time, under high stress, it could also be environment such as high humidity or contaminates , chemical reactions within the body, to or physical activity, high temperatures and sweating.
Sensitive reactions are bruising, swelling, redness, soreness, and raised skin beyond 12-24 hours.
If it looks angry but not infected, then it is likely your body is not happy about your new tattoo and it may need time to accept it. People that color their hair, may be having a chemical reaction, as hair dye instructions indicate that people with tattoos can have a reaction to the hair color.
You are provided with as much information as we can possibly pass on and I am sure more than any other tattoo studio in the history of the world.
We do hope that your tattoo experience will be of an exceptional standard.
We do hope that all our clients get many, many, years high quality and pleasure from their tattoos.
We endeavor to give you excellent value for money and we thank you for your patronage.
Extra Services: Tattoos can be added to, reworked to have the detail refreshed and brightened, they can be highlighted, and even some colors can be changed, they can even be covered up and changed entirely should your interests change, and they no longer are suitable for your age and lifestyle. Feel free to discuss any of the options that interest you.
